icon Mechanical was responsible for designing, installing and commissioning all HVAC systems in the facility. This included installing a Daikin System that consisted of 5 individual condensing units with a total of 57 fan coil units and 42 branch selector boxes stretched out across the school. Then we installed 3 roof top units to condition the larger areas such as, the gymnasium, the library and the cafeteria.

icon Mechanical self-performed the installation with our own trade workers. There was over 8,000 foot of refrigerant pipe installed and over 3,000 linear feet of spiral and rectangular ductwork that went into the building. With the new Daikin System, the school has seen an incredible energy savings.

Barbara Jordon was the first public elementary school in the St. Louis area to receive a LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
